We want to make sure that when your customers receive a Bonjoro, not only is their brand experience seamless, they also take a specific action after viewing.  You can now set up a named message template (multiple on the higher tier plan) with:

  • Default messages for the delivery email and play page - including variables like {first_name}
  • Your logo above the Bonjoro video message
  • Customised background image when viewing a Bonjoro on desktop
  • A custom "Call to action" button at the end of your Bonjoro.

Read below to see how this is done!

Your design will look different on mobile & desktop. Design by: ResQ Club allowing restaurants and cafés to sell surplus food as takeaway meals to local customers

How to set up your templates and design your Bonjoros

First of all head to the the message template page: Settings > Message templates on the bonjoro website (not app). If you have not logged into your Bonjoro web account before, just use the same login details as you would on the app. On the Message template page click on 'New message template' to get started

Note: Changes made to your message templates will be automatically saved - please refer to the saved status indicator on the left side of the screens

Customise your delivery email

  1. Choose the subject line for your message template. If you are pulling contacts from your CRM and you have the contacts names you can use variables like {first_name} but be sure to use a fallback in case there is no name information available.
  2. Select your default message test that will be shown above the screenshot in the delivery email and on the bonjoro landing page. Name variables and fall backs are available. You can edit this for any individual bonjoro you send in the app to make it more personal.
  3. You can also choose HTML or plain text delivery as default

Customise your Bonjoro landing page

Select 'Landing Page' from the options on the left side of the screen:

1. Set Background image

If your Bonjoro is viewed On Desktop, we will display a full page image behind your video.  This is a fantastic opportunity to make a huge brand impact.

  • For best results us image size of 1080 x 720 px in either .jpg or .png format.
  • Remember the Bonjoro video is centred, so place key image elements to the right or left hand side.
  • Don't have an image? https://unsplash.com has 1000's of royalty free, beautiful background images to suit your style.
  • Our system will remember and store each image you upload to be reused later if you need it

2. Set Logo

Upload your logo as a .png or .jpg, and this will be displayed above your bonjoro on web or mobile.

  • For best results we suggest using a transparent .png.  This will ensure that your logo does not have a "white box" around it and looks great over your background image.
  • Avoid a White logo, as on mobile, the background will be white.  If your logo is white, add a 1px black line / stroke around it.
  • Logo size: Ideal size is 220 : 80 pixels Width : height
  • Use the Desktop and Mobile toggle above the demonstration panel to see how your logo appears on desktop vs mobile for your recipients

***If you cannot do either of the above email [email protected] or click on the help button bottom right and we'll gladly do it for you.

3. Set Brand colour

  • Choose a button colour - to suit your brand for the Call to Action and Play buttons

4. Call to Action

This is the clickable button that appears to the right of your Bonjoro and below your message text. It's an effective way to drive a quick result from your Bonjoro's.

  • Paste in an HTML link that this button will link to some ideas are:
  • Dropbox links for documents, Upgrade links, Calendly links to book appointments or LinkedIn....but the world is your salmon.
  • Replace the button text, make this a decisive action "Book now" etc.

Name your template(s)

You can give each template a name to identify it - this name won't be visible to the recipients. Once you've set up the design click the 'Template list' button at the top left of the page to view the template list.

  1. Click the small edit button to the right of the template name
  2. Type in your preferred template name
  3. Click the green tick or anywhere outside the name entry box on the screen to save the change
