At Bonjoro we understand the power of sending highly personalized 1 to 1 videos. But we also understand that sometimes life gets in the way, and you can miss a few videos.

That's why we released Fallbacks.

In short, it lets you send a pre-recorded Bonjoro video (after a time-delay) when you don't have the time to record a personalized one.

Bonjoro is still super committed to truly personalized videos, but many of you asked us for a solution to help out when life gets crazy and you miss a day or two.

Let's say for example, you:

  • Go on holiday

  • Get sick for a few days

  • Just need a little break from 1-1 videos

On those days Fallbacks can send for you, so the next time you access Bonjoro you aren't staring down a ton of outstanding tasks.

5 reasons you'll love Fallback Videos:

  • Never miss a customer: Ensure every customer gets a video even when you get busy.

  • Stay at "inbox zero": Let Fallbacks keep your tasklist at "inbox zero" each day.

  • Avoid recording fatigue: Too tired to send your videos? Let your Fallbacks send instead.

  • Focus on your best leads: Free up time to send more 1-1 videos to your best leads.

  • Send videos at scale: Add automated Fallback videos to more customer milestones.

3 things to remember about Fallbacks:

  1. Fallback videos can be set up for each integration workflow that you've implemented. You'll need to record a specific fallback video for each use case - i.e. a lead conversion fallback, a thank you fallback etc.

  2. Fallbacks will initially be released to work with Bonjoro's native integrations only - Zapier is on the way.

  3. There is a usage cost associated with Fallbacks, similar to the tiered usage costs of most email tools. This is billed based on your usage, and in addition to your Bonjoro subscription.

How to set up Fallbacks

A relevant fallback video needs to be recorded and configured for each workflow - we've added a new step to the workflow builder to do this. Follow the steps below to set up your fallback.

1/ Set up Fallback Message Template - optional but recommended

You can use the template you usually use for your workflow, however we recommend creating a specific one that suits the more generic nature of Fallback videos as required and this will allow you to track the results of your Fallback videos vs 1-1 easily.

2/ Record or upload your Fallback Video

Fallbacks ahve been added at step 4 in our workflow builder. Click 'Create now' to add the video.

Click 'Record Now' to add your Fallback video. You can record the video directly using the recording tool, or upload a video that you have recorded and saved to your computer.

Record or upload the video, then select the message template you would like to use for your Fallbacks - the interface is the same as our browser based task recorder.

Click 'Use this Message' once you've selected the template and wait for the upload and processing of the video

3/ Choose your time delay

The first step is to choose your time delay. If you want the system to wait 2 days for you to complete your 1-1 videos before sending Fallbacks to the rest then select 2 days. If you select 'Ignore weekends' we will wait till Monday to send any Fallbacks that fall on the weekend after your chosen time delay. This is best for B2B contacts who might not be as active on email over the weekend.

4/ Start sending Fallbacks!

Once you have selected the time delay click the 'Check & set live' button and your workflow will start sending fallbacks - just don't forget to send 1-1 messages to your most valuable customers.
