Want to connect your favorite email campaign system to your favorite video platform? Well, you are in luck! You can connect MailChimp to Bonjoro in a few easy to follow steps. All direct Bonjoro workflows have a Trigger and Do this step. The trigger step is where you select the service you are connecting with Bonjoro, in this case Mailchimp, and where you define the trigger event in Mailchimp, e.g. New Subscriber. that will cause a contact to be added to your Bonjoro tasklist in the 'Do this' step. For pretty much every one of our direct integrations the thing that is done in the 'Do this' step is to create a task on your list in Bonjoro so you can send a message to contacts that have undertaken the trigger action.
Follow the simple steps below to integrate with Mailchimp and power your Bonjoro workflows.
Start at on your Workflows tab, and click 'Add a workflow'
This will launch the workflow editor.
Select a Service: MailChimp is going to be your platform you are connecting so click Mailchimp.
Choose a trigger: Click Subscribe and then hit Continue. This means anytime someone subscribes to your MailChimp list, their contact information will be pulled over into Bonjoro and a task created so you can send them a message. **If you would like a workflow from more than one list, simply go through setting up another Mailchimp workflow for for that list.**
Select an Account: Click Add an Account. This will open another window where you will input your MailChimp credentials. Once you have entered them, it will disappear and you will see your account listed on the Bonjoro page. Click TEST, if your account was connected correctly you will see a pop up in the top right corner of your screen confirming this. Then click on the tile that represents your account, then click CONTINUE. The continue button will remain greyed out until you select your account. We support adding multiple different mailchimp accounts to an account and this step is necessary to allow users to select from multiple options.
Customise: This is where you will choose your list that you want connected. Choose your list and click Continue. **If you would like more than one list selected, simply go through setting up another MailChimp connection for that list. There is no limit to the number of list you can connect.**
Do this - think of it as the Action
Select a Service: Click Bonjoro and hit Continue.
Choose an Action: Click Create a Bonjoro and hit Continue.
This is where the bulk of the workflow configuration is done. See below for details on each option.
Attributes; You can select which attributes you'd like to pull in from Mailchimp about your contact. This lets you quickly and easily add layers of personalisation to the message. More information here. This is optional.
Assignee; if you are the only person on your account this will be your email. If you are a part of a team, you can select the team member you wish to assign the video messages to on your task-list. You must select an assignee before you click continue.
Campaign; If your workflow is part of a campaign you can select it here. This is optional.
Reason; this is the information that will be listed on the contact when it shows up in Bonjoro in your task-list. It will display under the contacts name so you you can see which workflow it belongs to. Click Continue once you have completed the two fields.
Check and Set Live: Hit the 'Set live button and your workflow will become active.
